What Cancer Taught Me About Faith, Strength & Hope | Warriors That Pray

Cancer taught me that strength doesn't always look the way we think it will.
Before my diagnosis, I thought strength meant having all the answers, staying positive all the time, and never showing weakness. What I learned is that real strength is showing up even when you're scared. It's allowing people to help you. It's choosing hope when fear feels easier. It's finding gratitude in the smallest moments.
Cancer taught me that every day is a gift. It taught me to slow down, to appreciate the people I love, and to stop waiting for the "perfect time" to pursue what matters most. It taught me that our scars tell stories of survival, resilience, and grace.
Most importantly, cancer taught me that God is present even in the hardest seasons. Not because the journey was easy, but because I never walked it alone.
If you're facing cancer today, my hope for you is simple: keep going. One appointment at a time. One prayer at a time. One day at a time. There will be hard days, but there will also be moments of beauty, joy, strength, and unexpected blessings along the way.
You are stronger than you know. You are loved more than you realize. And you never have to fight alone.
